Ross Lewis
Through My Lens: An autobiography
My name is Ross Lewis, and I’m a biracial photographer from Columbus, Ohio. Growing up in a city full of contrasts and vibrant cultures, I’ve always been drawn to the nuances of the human experience—those small, fleeting moments that often go unnoticed. My journey as a photographer has been shaped by my identity and my desire to capture the world as I see it: a collection of movement, emotion, and connection.
With two Fujifilm cameras by my side, I explore life’s intricate details. Movement fascinates me. My photography isn’t just about aesthetics; it’s a platform for storytelling.
As someone who exists at the intersection of two worlds—Black and white—I’ve learned to see life from multiple perspectives. This duality informs my work, giving me a unique lens through which I interpret the world. My art is both deeply personal and universally relatable, an invitation for viewers to see life from my perspective and reflect on their own.
Photography is my way of creating, expressing, and connecting. It’s how I showcase the beauty in difference and the power of shared experience. Through my lens, I hope to inspire others to pause, look closer, and appreciate the extraordinary within the everyday.
